Bus run changes!
Transportation to the Green for spring athletes changed as of Friday, February 23rd. Please read the following carefully. There are still two bus runs to the Green, but times have changed. The bus will be in the parking lot outside the CAC doors immediately after school and again for the second run.
Run 1- Students who have practice beginning immediately after school will depart from school by 3:05pm each day. No other students may take the 3:05pm run to the Green for any reason. This should be track kids only.
Run 2- A second bus run to the Green will leave school at 3:45pm Monday thru Friday for those athletes whose practices begin between 4:15pm and 4:30pm. These students must go to one of the designated areas at school where supervision is provided (media center or the cafeteria) until their bus run.
Early dismissal days – there will only be transportation to the Green for sports that practice immediately after the 12:30pm dismissal time. This will be in either the bus or in the van, depending on need. Currently this applies to only track athletes on Tuesday early dismissal days. All other students must make arrangements to leave the Assumption property and to arrive at the Green no more than 30 minutes prior to their practice time.
Expectations of students on the bus and once they arrive at the Green – Students should be courteous to the bus driver and act appropriately on the bus before leaving and during the trip to the Green. They should make sure that they have all of their belongings. If items are left on the bus they will be placed in the lost and found upon the buses return to school. Once students arrive at the Green they are expected to utilize the locker rooms to store their belongings and prepare for practice.
Home Game Days – Athletes may utilize the second run on game day. If they arrive at the Green early they must wait in the lobby area or the front hallway. There is room to sit and work on homework (tablets will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi). Snacks may be brought and eaten in the lobby and hall way areas, but the girls should be sure that all unwanted food and wrappers be disposed of properly. Students should not be hanging out in the locker rooms nor the training rooms.
Continued thanks for your patience as we continue to evaluate the needs for transportation to the Green.
Please talk to and explain this to your daughter so that she understands which bus run she should take each day depending on her scheduled practice or game schedule.
Please email email@example.com with any questions.
