The Rocket JV and Freshman-Sophomore Cross Country teams had a strong day at the Assumption Frosh-Soph/JV race series at EP Tom Sawyer on Tuesday.  Both teams won their respective team events.  The JV squad was led by Avery Snook, Lillie Bennett and Faith Cheers.  The Frosh-Soph group was led by 2nd place individual finisher Tabitha Robinson, with support from Freshmen Ella Bidwell, Whitney Dreher and Charlotte Burnett, and Soph Elana Beach.  The team would also like to give a very special shout out to Victoria Hoffman for a strong finish in her first high school race. On Saturday, Assumption’s Cross Country team competed in the Rumble in the Jungle Invitational at Creasy Mahan Nature Preserve in Oldham County.  Freshmen Taylor White and Madeline Powell, along with Sophomore Lauren Locke led the JV Rockets to a 4th place finish.  That marks two 2nd place finishes for Taylor in her first two high school meets.  Rachel Dierken, Lindsey Domene and Julia Corman were the top finishers for the Varsity squad, who ran with only 4 girls which kept them from getting a team score.

Soccer tied North Oldham on Thursday 0-0. Saturday, they traveled to West Jessamine and fell 2-1.
